Privacy
Last updated 27 August 2026. This notice covers takesavillage.io and the Village Account waitlist. Payday Audit has its own privacy practices on paydayaudit.app.
What we collect
If you join the waitlist or write via the contact form, we may store:
- Your name and email
- Whether you are a parent, family organizer, or someone else
- A child's first name, a city, and what you would gather for
- Any note you type
- Browser user-agent and referring page, for fraud and context
We also use standard hosting logs and Google Analytics on this site.
How we use it
To operate the waitlist, reply to you, understand demand (including city, so we can plan support — not so we can open by city), and keep the form free of spam. We do not sell waitlist rows. We do not run ads against this list.
Who sees it
Takes A Village staff, and the infrastructure vendors that store or send it (currently including our database host and email, when we write). We may disclose information if required by law.
Retention and your choices
We keep waitlist records until you ask us to delete them, or until we no longer need them for the launch. Email hello@takesavillage.io to access, correct, or delete your information.
Children
The waitlist is for adults organizing for a child. Do not submit a form as a child. A child's first name on an adult's form is only to understand the occasion.
Later products
If Village Account takes gifts, we will update this notice before that happens. Payment card data will be handled by Stripe, not stored on our servers.
