Business and services

Takes A Village Financial Inc. builds family finance tools that help parents and guardians create Village Account goals and invite family, friends, schools, teams, or community members to contribute toward childhood experiences, lessons, trips, camps, books, and future funds.

Payday Audit is a separate household cash-flow product from the same company. It is presented separately on this website and is not part of the Village Account gift checkout experience.

Payments and fees

Payments are processed by third-party payment providers such as Stripe. Takes A Village Financial does not store full card numbers or card security codes on its servers.

Before payment, contributors are shown the gift amount, estimated processing cost, total charged, and amount intended for the child or campaign. Parents do not pay a platform fee to create a Village Account during the current launch period.

Use of funds

Village Account contributions are intended for the child, campaign, or family goal described on the campaign page. If a campaign is partially funded, overfunded, cancelled, or completed, remaining balances may roll into the child’s General Future Fund unless a refund is issued under the refund policy.

User responsibilities

  • Parents and guardians are responsible for creating accurate campaign descriptions and using contributions for the stated child or family purpose.
  • Contributors are responsible for reviewing the campaign, recipient, amount, and fees before payment.
  • Users may not use the service for unlawful activity, prohibited goods or services, sanctions evasion, deceptive fundraising, or payments that do not match the stated purpose.
